1) There are both pros and cons associated with the e-learning. Nowadays, nursing education is adopting e-learning for nursing students.

e-learning allows to learn from anywhere and significantly lowers the cost of education. It gives us full flexibility in terms of time utilization and can fit around the busy schedule of any student. It allows everyone to freely interact with other students and faculty members through chats and discussion boards, and thus helps in clearing any doubts without any hesitation. Audio and video learning could prove to be the most efficient way of delivering the online courses. e-learning promotes active and independent learning. These are some pros associated with e-learning.

e-learning has some technical issues. It requires the the digital devices that could be compatible with the existing e-learning software. There are some technical problems such as poor internet connection or poor reliability. There is also some risk of leakage of personal data of both students and the faculties. Sometimes, the weaker students with low motivation could not follow the speed of the online courses and could not meet the specific deadlines or goals. Some students also could not adapt to working on computers and could feel uncomfortable as compared to the traditional learning. These are some cons associated with e-learning.

e-learning plays a very significant role in context of COVID-19 crisis. Since many countries are facing lockdown, therefore in this crisis, e-learning could prove to be the most efficient and effective way of learning from home while maintaining the social distancing.

2) Virtual simulation has a significant impact on nursing education. It is an important tool to support learning outcomes in nursing education. It is less expensive, easily accessible, and location independent as compared to that of traditional nondigital simulations. It includes successful integration of technology in nursing education. It gives students more realistic training and thus prepares them for real-life experiences. Students have opportunities to experience the effects of various conditions or diseases from the patient perspective using the commercially available virtual reality learning platforms.

Both e-learning and simulation experiences for nursing students fits well into our COVID-19 crisis. Both of them are effective and efficient way of learning from home while maintaining the social distancing.
