list the different cabling types and their issues (deficiencies) that come up when you use them in a network. What cable works the best or would you suggest and why?

Different types of cabling are:
1. Twisted Pair Cables
1. Shielded Twisted Pair cable (STP) - Diameter is bigger and they are also expensive
2. Unshielded Twisted pair cable (UTP)
2. Coaxial Cables
1. Ticknet
2. Thinnet
3. Fibre Optics Cable
1. Single Mode
2. Multi Mode
Their distadvantages are:
1. Twisted Pair Cables
1. Shielded Twisted Pair cable (STP) - Diameter is bigger and they are also expensive
2. Unshielded Twisted pair cable (UTP) – Because of signal attenuation, used for short distance.
2. Coaxial Cables - Limited number of nodes and it damages due to lighting strikes.
3. Fibre Optics Cable - Unsafe and twist or bending fiber optic cables too tightly is a big no.
There is no best cable as it depends on the fact that where you want to use it. Each and every cable has their own advantages and disadvantages. And which cable is best depend on that.
