How many different types of blood glucometers exist in the world market, list them by efficiency.
Please provide references
There are four main types of Blood glucometer.
1) Invasion Glucometer : This glucometer read out the amount of oxygen used by glucose oxidase by using glucose as a substrate and it is a most accurate glucometer in market. In dialy practice in hospital and home blood glucose monitoring(HBGM) widely used this glucometer.
2) Non Invasion glucometer: This is advanced glucometer which do not required to prick the finger for blood glucose monitoring. which measures the blood glucose by applying on skin surface and electrically pulling the skin to measere blood glucose. Blood glucose is not accurately measured by this glucometer and also damage the skin.
3)Continuous glucose Monitor: In this glucometer disposable glucose sensor inserted inside the skin and blood glucose is monitor by transmitter connected with sensor and result display on screen of glucometer. It continuously monitor the blood glucose instead of this it calculated the interstitial fluid glucose also due to which it is not accurate.
4) Non-meter test strip :which used the test strip and results shown in color and read by visually (eye read) without meter and it not show the results in decimal due to which it is not accurate as compare to other glucometer.
Blood Glucometer Available in World Market which is Listed by Eficiency.
1)Beurer Glucometer
2)Bionime
3)Accu-chek system
4)Clevercheck glucometers
5)One Touch sure step.
Effeciency is depends on the accuracy to measure the blood glucose level.
