Labour law plays a vital role between the employer, employee, union and the government. Both USA and Saudi Arabia have specific laws regarding illness/injuries and medical insurance.

Case	USA	Saudi
If an employee is Sick Medical Insurance	Job-protected leave to eligible employees for the birth or adoption of a child or for the serious illness of the employee or a spouse, child or parent. Under the ACA, employers with 50 or more full-time employees (or the equivalent in part-time employees) must provide health insurance to 95% of their full-time employees or pay a penalty to the IRS	Employees on sick leave cannot be terminated due to illness until the full entitlement to sick leave has been exhausted. All the companies has to provide health insurance to their Saudi and expat employees as well as their dependants – including spouse, unmarried daughters and male children under the age of 25.
