Labor law of Saudi/KSA in terms of Injuries, illness and medical insurance-


The employer needs to hold the working zone neatly and healthfully.He will be the one who holds answerability for the workers against any injuries, accidents and any other illness caused by the laboring environment. He needs to accommodate the workers with all the necessary safety kits and training.The worker's job is to keep these safety kits properly and also act as per the instructions given during the training period to protect himself from any harm or injury. He can be terminated from the role if any of these actions are not taken seriously. Proper steps to protect workers against fire by placing proper safety outlets against any kind of fire attack.In the case of the firms which involve in the production and handling of dangerous substances which are termed as high-risk firms, the ministry will be accountable for all the major concerns in this case. If the worker suffers from any injury or disease caused by the work environment, the employer will take care of all the essential expenditures related to tests, transport to hospitals and all the medicinal treatments required.In case of temporary injury, full payment will be given to the worker for 30 days while 75% of his pay for the treatment period. In case, there are no chances of him continuing the work due to inability,he will be compensated for the same.In case of death and permanent injury scenarios,the person or his nominated payee will get payments for three years.In terms of medical insurance, it is the task of the employer to provide first aid advisers and yearly medical inspections of the workers and health care steps following cooperative health insurance law. Any workers working in remote areas will be provided with all the necessary items to keep them healthy. The issue of medical covers for their family in case of injury is also a part of the law in KSA.

Employers also need to provide training and all chemical-related information to their workers.OSHA organizes medical tests in the workplace. Mandatory safety kits are provided to workers free of cost.OSHA makes its workers aware of the reports and stories of injuries and illness to keep them aware of all the necessary precautions during their working hours that can cause harm to their health. Here the employer needs to inform OSHA within 8 hours of any workplace mishappening. In case of any injury, medical coverage and compensation for lost earnings is given to the worker and returns are also given to the nominated family member in case of loss of life due to workplace accident.
