Demonstrate your understanding of the NINE forms of nonverbal
communication by taking a photo to represent each. Do not use
photos found online. Get creative and use your imagination; ask
friends or family to help stage scenes, take candid shots, use Lego
figures, etc. The possibilities are endless. Start looking at the
world around you through the lens of these forms of nonverbal
messages. Insert each photo into your word document and discuss in
depth how each relates to the specific type of nonverbal
communication.

RESPONSE:
a. What did you learn about nonverbal communication as a result of
this activity?
One of the most important factors that would make communication effective and powerful is non-verbal communication. This would mean that mere words or speeches would be only sounds if they are not accompanied by appropriate non-verbal cues such as, eye contact, postures, facial expressions, gestures etc. The benefit of using non-verbal communication effectively would help the listeners understand the emotions of the speaker while the non-verbal cues expressed by the listeners would help the speaker to assess whether the message is accepted or not. Non-verbal cues are also culture specific and context specific as the touching, physical proximity, power distance would all depend on the culture and context. Thus, learning the art of non-verbal communication would not only help one become a better communicator but also would help one exhibit appropriate non-verbal cues as a listener.
