Summarize developmental milestones: fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills, and language skills that are typically expected to develop (at age 5-8 months, 9-12 months, 13-18 months, 19-24 months, and from 2-6 years of age). Include a description of Piaget’s stages of development during this period of life – skills and ages at which skills develop.
Developmental Milestones are behaviour seen in infants and and growing children, like crawling, walking, talking. And all these are considered as milestone. However, every milestone is different at different age.
Gross Motor Skills- 5-8 months
In this age they develop to move their large muscles ,they also learn to balance their head and neck.
9-12 months
Sit without support
Crawl on hand and knees
Try to stand without support
13-18 months
Walk
Walk to kick a ball
Run in hurried walk
They walk down on stairs holding railing
19-24 months
Can run
Walk up an down on stairs
