As we know that an Auditor is responsible for smooth conduct of audit programme in a company. Qualities of an auditor lead to correct and required results of audit in a company. So an auditor must have following qualities-

1. An auditor must have knowledge about basic principles, concepts, and conventions of accounting with taxation. In addition to it he must have knowledge about operations of accounting software, so that he can understand respective transactions done in a company and take proper decision.

2. An auditor must have knowledge about rules, regulations and codes of conducts of audit association which allows and permits him to audit.

3. An auditor must have knowledge about commercial framework and legal aspect which are directly or indirectly related to his audit work and the business in which he is going to audit, so that he can understand about various transactions in the business in respect to legal aspects.

4. An auditor should not be biased in decision making because he has some specific principles and values which are to be followed while working as an auditor.

5. An auditor should be curious, active and hard working in his duty so that he can find any error, mistake or fraud in the books of accounting if exists.

6. An auditor must have good knowledge of reporting and dispatch, because he has to make audit report after audit which provide summary of his audit process.

7. An auditor should also have personal qualities like-Intelligence, honesty, good communication skill, leadership etc.
