What is the social class hierarchy? And what are the determinants of social class?
Social class is the group of people having similar social status mostly based on wealth. Even society is further divided as a social class hierarchy based on wealth, education, occupation, income, and social mobility. Here hierarchy is the positions associated with ranks of authority and chain of command. An earlier hierarchy was divided according to these classes and was considered beneficial so that the person who belongs to the goldsmith will follow the same business and will be specialized in it, Later scenario changed and youth made changes and adopted other occupations too and refused family business. The social class hierarchy are an efficient method to divide goods and labor into groups. There are many divisions made like Upper class who are considered to be wealthy and rich class, good educated, having more than good income. Then the middle class who are mostly serviceman, who is neither rich nor poor. The average studied and life expenditure is based on monthly income. Then there is a lower class who are poor, no studies, no social mobility, poor economic conditions.
The determinants of Social class are-
Because of good education people nowadays are giving equal chances to everyone in society. Many programs are held to make people understand and resolve the differences which are being followed from years. People understand and believe the one who deserves should be positioned no matter what caste, color, or background.
