You have a company that manufactures denim jeans and denim jackets.
A denim jeans costs 5$ to make and uses 2 yards of denim. You sell the denim jeans for $25.00
A denim jacket costs 12$ to make and uses 3 yards of denim. You sell the denim jacket for $40.00.
You have 300 yards of denim.
You need to sell at least 10 jeans and 10 jackets in a year. How many jeans and jackets would you have to sell in order to maximize profit.
Please use solver in excel and show your work in a sheet and attach the excel file as your response.
Profit = Profit per jeans x quantity of jeans + Profit per jacket x quantity of jacket
Z = 20J + 28JA
Constraints are
J > or = 10
JA > or = 10
2J + 3JA < or = 300
The optimum number is Jeans = 135 and Jackets = 10.
