If you were creating a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to warn folks about inhalant use, which population would you choose to focus on as your PSA audience, and why? What are the three pieces of information you’d include in the PSA, and why?

For creating a public service announcement regarding ,to warn folks about inhalent use ,I would like to focus more on adolescents .

It is found better to focus more on the adolescent to create awareness about inhalent use because inhalent is found to be more common in the adolescents especially the adolescents with the history of school drop out and more over they are the power for the future generation .According to the studies it is found that ;

About 7 % of the 8th graders are abusing inhalents in their life time .

About 6% of the 10th graders are using inhalents .

About 5% of the 12th graders are using the inhalents .

About 84% of the adolescent with drop school drop out are using the inhalent .

Only 0.2 % of people are found to be abusing inhalent in the age of 25 and above .

From this it is clear that the inhalent abuse is more commonly found in the pree teens or the adolescents ,especially in school drop outs so ,I am focusing those group for my public service announcement .

* Providing information regarding the effect of inhalent use is the prior one .

Make them aware about the fact that the inhalent damage the vital organs such as brain ,heart, and cause memory loss and sudden death ,because adolescents do not recognize the dangerous behind the inhalent use and this age group is more curious in trying new things .

* include information regarding the treatment and care services which are available to get rid of inhalent use .

Because in most cases ,inhalent users are shy ,depressed and doesn't come forward for treatment .knowledge about an effective programmes make them aware about the effect of inhalent use and develop a will towards treatment .

* Include information for parents regarding the importance of education and prevention of school drop out .

Poor education leads to unemployment and poverty and make pull them forcely towards trying drugs and inhalents for stress and for other factors .A quality education mould each individual behaviour and create a successful mind to acheive an highest goal in mind.
