Please give detail.
What are the parts of the Respiratory
System?
List one Disease of the Respiratory System. Give
detail of what it is and list the ICD-10-CM Code for it.
Construct a Case Study for a Patient using the
Respiratory System. You will come up with a least a paragraph
detail of the patient incident with the Respiratory System. You
will list an ICD-10-CM Code, CPT Code, and a HCPCS Code for the
Case Scenario. Next to the codes that you list you must list the
description of the code.
Respiratory system is one of the most important body system. The primary function of respiratory system is the exchange of gases maiinly oxygen and carbon dioxide.
As we all know oxygen is required to the functioning of body tissues. And carbon dioxide is the waste product after the metabolism of tissues. So it is important to get oxygen and excrete carbon dioxide. It is done by respiratory system.
Other functions of respiratory system include
Maintanence of acid base balance . It is done by regulating the oxygen and carbon dioxide level In the body.
Another function is that maintenance of blood pH level. It is also being done by gas exchange.
Through ventilation lungs takes air from environment and the alveoili is the place where has exchange occurs. Here the oxygen get into blood and carbon dioxide gets ocut from the blood by expiration.
Parts of respiratory system include
Nose which is part collect the air from the external environment through nostrils. There are many hairs present which filter the air and block the entrance of microbs and dust.
Pharynx and larynx are the parts which connect the nostrile and trachea. Trachea is the tube like structure which carry air into lungs.
Lungs is the most important part of respiratory system. There are 2 lunges are present . Gas exchange is occur in the lungs. Each lung are divided into lobes. Right lung consist of 3 lobes and left consist of 2 lobes.
