Expert Solution

Why???

TCP/IP is important because the whole internet is running over it. This is the protocols using which two different area network elements communicate with each other. Without the TCP/IP Protocol communication, the inter-networking of the devices is not possible.

How??

The most common use of TCP/IP is to transfer data from one network to another network.

There are two types of protocol involved in this IP and TCP

TCP is used to transfer the data and IP used for providing the IP or logical address which is different for every device.

This Protocol consists of total four layers Application,Transport,Network,Access Layers.

The data transfer will happen by using all the above four layers. As a IT specialist it is basic concept to know other wise it is difficult to setup network infrastructure inside a company. Some times attacks may happen through TCP/IP so he can restrict the IPs data in firewall rules.
