No person can be smart, handsome, arrogant, intelligent, dumb etc. from birth. Genetic factors along with surrounding environment impart major role personality development of a person. It can be elaborated from an example.

No person can be substance addicted from birth. Company of people in surrounding plays an important role in development of habit of substance dependence. Beside this environmental factor; scientists have found that there is a OPR gene i.e Opioid receptor gene which is also responsible for substance dependence in a person.

Both nature and nurture collectively produce different textures in personality of a person. Like this, there is another gene Dopamine D4 Receptor Gene (DRD4). It also have role in deciding the person's mood in different situation.

It ultimately have role in deciding the personality of person. Genes and our hormonal system work in coordination which reflect our behavior in different situations. Those behaviors become integral part of our personality and become characteristic feature of someone.

If people in our surrounding are filled with positive energy and support us in constructive manner then a positive personality is being developed. Both nature and nurture work together to decide the shape of personality of any person.
