Telehealth is an advanced system in healthcare, which provide an access to improve quality of health and life especially in rural areas.Rural population are always facing problem with transportation to speciality care and  lack of health centers of hospitals.Most of these problems can be sorted out through the telehealth system.

A telehealth nurse are working in collaberation with team of specialist in real time, peers by virtual network,continuing education and training,outsourced diagnostic evaluation e.t.c. So they would be capable to fullfill the specific needs of the rural population. Telehaelth servises includes home monitoring, long term care services, chronic care management and online therapy. Access to do consultation, recommendation and evaluation by the team of specialists at virtual time with the local providervhelps to improve the health outcome as well as reduce the hospital stay and readmissions.Remote home monitoring system can reduce the multiple and routine hospital visitand assist in chronic disease management in their home itself.

The teleheath services is being provided for round the clock to the rural ICU. So it acts as as a second eye and the telehealth nurse helps to cover the staff shortage and minimse the errors of the bedside nurse and aid in critical thinking , that increase the confidence in bedside nurses.
