Culture- culture is is an umbrella term which encompasses the social behavior and norms found in human societies, as well as the knowledge, beliefs, arts, laws, customs, capabilities, and habits of the individuals in these groups. In short, culture is a set of rules, conduct, behaviour, habits and practices of a society.
Impacts of culture-
Culture is different in different countries but some aspects of culture is similar across all over culture in the world. In many cultures, pregnant women limited by different food and activities because of health care of her and her upcoming children. She do not allowed to do heavy work and also prohibited from consuming any unhealthy food such as alcohol, smoking and any other drugs.
-In many cultures, pregnant women is not allowed to travel or visit distant areas for safety measures. Long duration travel can cause a serious accident or can harmful for her pregnancy.
-a culture can have many tradition:
First: women should not eat back her husband after a trip bread to not be the future where cowardly wild or domestic animal killed by a wolf is not the future baby hairy; fish head or gills of fish, not snore or snort the child while sleeping; turtle meat, to avoid startling dream.
Second: many tradition provides for the promotion of certain foods that should be used pregnant - to drink goat's milk with honey and wine, eat heel of bread in order to have a male child.
There are certain prohibitions concerning pregnant. So pregnant should not be a road not to be angry the Virgin and Child to be born abnormal, and not to smash his head; pregnant women should not be scared, not like a child who scares her - human or animal, for a pregnant woman should not talk at night to not hear it from evil demons and "throw the child" and the woman to miscarry.
The tradition recommends certain actions of the pregnant:
- To remove herself from every evil pregnant should in the first weeks of pregnancy to descend body soap naked;
- Pregnant women should bathe more often to avoid crying infant; - Pregnant woman should honor some of the strictest church holidays .
Society-A society is a group of individuals involved in persistent social interaction,sharing or a large social group living in the same spatial or social territory of a country.
Impacts of society:
The pregnant woman regardless of physiological changes still remains part of the public system. Social impacts on pregnant women can discussed in three ways-
The effects of family environment:
- the experienced family members can take care of pregnant women properly . It means if the family members of pregnant women know how to take care of a pregnant woman then they can do it properly . Inexperienced family members of pregnant women can't take care properly of pregnant women.
- if the family members of pregnant women is educated, then pregnant women treated very carefully, every family members take care of her food, work etc. The uneducated family doesn't take care of pregnant women properly.
- in Indian society, male child is given much more importance than female child. So, if a pregnant woman has already female child then she is treated very badly which affects her physical and mental health.
Impacts of working environment:
Regardless of what form of labor activity occurs pregnant woman changes her physical condition have a direct impact on this aspect of its social contacts. If a pregnant women working in any organisation then the members of that organization treated her very badly and making joke on her. It affects her physical condition and changes her attitude. It is very necessary that if any pregnant women working in any organisation, then every members of that organization should have some responsibility and should take care of her(pregnant women) by helping her in work , make her happy during working hours. It is very important for her physical and mental health.
Impacts of social status of mother:
In the practice of every society there is a certain social stratification that defines the social status of the individual, as well as those social institutions and their characteristics to which a person is relevant. For example, if the family members of pregnant women belong from upper class ( rich,educated and sophisticated) then she treated very carefully and on the other hands, if the family members of pregnant women belong from lower class (poor and uneducated) then she treated very badly that affects her physical and mental health and become depressed which also affects her pregnancy.
