How does Uldus Bakhtiozina target social norms?

What were the findings of this experiment?
The findings of the blue eyes versus brown eyes experiment revealed that when arbitrary divisions among students based on their eye color was created, a dramatic effect on the way students performed, behaved and felt about themselves was observed.
How is prejudice demonstrated?
In the experiment, the students who were deemed "superior" demonstrated prejudice as they
became arrogant, bossy, and behaved in an unpleasant fashion towards their "inferior" classmates.
How is discrimination demonstrated?
The "superior" group received certain advantages at the expense of discriminating against the "inferior" group in the experiment. They played only with their own group and ignored the "inferior group". They did not drink from the same water fountain and did not receive any reprimand when they made mistakes. They sat in the front rows of the classroom while the other group sat behind separately.
What can we learn from this experiment?
Eye color in actuality is a physical attribute and serves as a symbol for other attributes such as the colour of the skin. From this experiment, we can immediately observe how divisions among us are socially created rather than biologically inherent. Futhermore, the experiment also reveals the negative impact that these divisions have on an individual's self esteem and performance.
