Why do nutritionists recommend a diet rich in oils rather in butter?
Butter have saturated fats in them and saturated fats are known to be unhealthy and poses a risk to the consumer. Saturated fats are known to increase the body cholesterol levels as well as increase the chances of heart disease. Butter also contain trans fat and trans fat are the worst type of fats which are known to increase your bad cholesterol as well as lower the good cholesterol.
Another drawback of Saturated fats is that they are known to increase the chances of an individual having Type II diabetes.
On the other hand, Oils have a high content of unsaturated fats and very low or no saturated fats. Unsaturated fats can lower an individual's body cholesterol level and thus they are beneficial for heart. Oils like Canola oil and Olive oil are rich in mono unsaturated fats and these fats are one of the most recommended fats to meet the body requirements of daily energy from fats. Unsaturated fats also lower harmful triglycerides, reduce blood pressure.
