Here I am going to discuss an employment discrimination case of Meng v. Aramark Corp.
The case is related to a food service director for the mentioned corporation. She disgusted and angry after Seeing graphical sexual images of hers being drawn on a bathroom wall. She complained regarding the same. That image was all over the social media platforms and people kept on sharing photographs for almost a month. When she complained, she lost her job soon after. She decided to approach the court for her claims regarding retaliation and sexual harassment.
Sooner, the court found out that her colleagues and supervisors already knew that something like this happening in the organization and an employee's reputation is been deteriorated. Some employees also complaint regarding the same, but he ignored everything.
The pictures and images were also all over Facebook especially, which makes it easier for the court to find evidence regarding the same.
Sooner, it was held that the supervisor was held responsible for damages and retaliation she has got, and negligence regarding the safety of his employees.
According to me, the decision of the court was fair and in support of the employee.
