“Good social media is a high-risk, high-reward kind of game. As a result, the majority of corporate Twitter is painful to look at and comes across as insincere. Basically, being consistently funny is hard.”
What does he mean when he says “high-risk high-reward?”
When the author says "high-risk high-reward" he means to say that social media if channelised properly, can result in high popularity as well but for that high risk is also required to be taken since good social media garners less interest of people and can be risky as well. Since the content of social media can either influence people or can invoke anger and hatred as well, hence it is risky to post on social media. But if it ensures that people are influenced and the results are positive, then huge popularity of social media channel as well as of the person who posts such information on social media can also happen. Hence it can go either way and hence any post on social media must be posted very carefully.
