Diagnosis: Yellow fever virus diagnosis is done by detecting the virus-specific antibody IgM in the serum. If the virus-specific antibody is present the person is positive for the yellow fever virus and if antibodies are not present the result is negative. ELISA is used for the diagnosis of virus-specific IgM in the serum.
treatments: since it is a viral disease there is no such treatment available for the yellow fever virus. The only treatment is to reduce the symptoms and complications of the infection. it is an incurable disease.
Prevention: prevention of the occurrence of the disease is done by the yellow virus vaccine that prevents the infection from the virus. Another way of preventing the occurrence of the disease is by preventing mosquito bites because the mosquito is the carrier for viruses.
Symptoms: Fever, headache, jaundice, dizziness, muscle ache, red-eye, nausea, vomiting, loss of apetite.
