Are pregnant women more susceptible to Yellow Fever and why?

Yes , pregnent woman are more suseptible to yellow fevers and also some other fevers. The reason is their body at the time of pregnency is very delicate as there are two people living in a single body. The nutrients,mineals, vitamins are equally suppied to the mother as well as the baby after the intake.

As the immune system in women turn balanced at times of pregnency , but if there is any serious fever like the yellow fever that could impact very badly on both . As the immune system is only for a single person pregnent women have a balanced immune system for both so the immune system may get weak at this time. So when the yellow fever attacks a pregnent women , the fever can easily effect the pregnent women. So the only caustion is to keep pregnent woman away from mosquitoes which would lead to the cause of yellow fever. Especially away from the mosquitoes called "Aedes aegypti" which is also called as Yellow fever mosquito.
