How can an adolescent acheive a sense of their own identity?
Adolescents achieves their own sense
of identity by assessing their strenghths and weaknesses and
managing both in their day to day life situations.
Identity will be acquired by their acheivements and efforts, not by
the parents and the family support.Identity will be developed by
social interaction with others ,usually with peer groups. In a group
an adolescents feel free to seek the help and do the best for the
need.By doing so they get recognition in the group for their effort
and it gives courage to them to get conformation of their role in
the group.
By this an adolescent develops the attitude that ,he can meet the
expectations of the group by his acheivement. Therefore he gets
social identity and creates more interest on proving his ability in
the society by planning and acheiving greater things.
Trying for the personal identity based on their philosophy ,values
of life helps to develop a guiding behaviour to others too.
