Giving a speech is just reading words and delivering it to the audience but showing passion for what you are speaking about can engage the audience and is one of the best characteristics of a good speech delivery. We should have a contact with audience so that they can involve in the flow.

All if the methods are correct in their respective areas as each method will spray a different impact on audience.If you have to give a short speech then impromptu is best as the words you spoke are directly from your heart or the true form of speech but sometimes it also got in trouble when you have short of words and innovative ideas or words did not come in the mind.

Whereas manuscript speech does not create a good impact on audience it generally goes for those when it is a polictical issue or fixed things which needs to be spoken but in general people used to choose extemporaneous style of speech.

The extemporaneous style is the method most often recommended (and often required) in today's public speaking courses, and is generally the best method in other settings as well. Extemporaneous speaking is the represenatation of a carefully planned and rehearsed speech, spoken in a conversed manner by taking short notes of the speech. If you are having notes rather than full page of article, the extemporaneous speaker can establish and maintain eye contact with the audience with makes them more connected with the audience and allows and let them know how well they are understanding the speech as it progresses. The best speech is when audience is grasping as much as the speaker delievers and a way of contact creates a abstract in everybody's mind.

It have advantage and disadvantage both but the audience will think you are a genius. You used few notes and appeared to know everything about the topic. But this is not something that can be done quickly. The same fact finding and research used for other types of speeches must be used here.People used to think that the speaker have very much knowledge and what exactly people like the most.The more you are realistic the more is the form of speech.
