What was the cause of role loss many adult Hmong faced when they came to the U.S.? How does this loss affect their adjustment to America and how do the families adapt? What are the American health system challenges to being culturally-informed and culturally-responsive to the needs of immigrant and/or refugee populations, particularly related to treating common conditions like post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)? |
Hmong people have their own terms for their subcultural divisions. Most of the hmong do not speak english and they literely knows Among language and their food habits,spirituality,Tradititional diffrerent from American culture....
The different emphasis on family ties some times leads to some confusion between modern American and Hmong culture. It affects them with fears,loneliness,depression,seperation from loved ones,and other emotional stresses.
American Health System challenges to being culturally -informes an /or refugee populations,particularly with post traumatic stress disorder they are highly intentional self-harm..Prevention may be possible with some therepy is targeted at those with early symptoms..The main initial treatment for those people with PTSD are counselling and medication for their physical illness in their old age.American Health System for Hmong people PTSD and findings ways to cope with what they have experienced through war and living situation.They are deals with depression and anxiety amoung them and giving more health education in a proper way...
