Everyone, since we covered that the intent of the BIA is to clearly document how each business unit depends upon technology, how does the BIA practically get completed? Is there anyone else other than IT involved?
BIA (Business Impact Analysis):
As we all know there's no proper way limits or standards for implementing a BIA and the method can be differ from one organization to another.
To implement a BIA we have divided the BIA process into many
phases which helps us to implement BIA more easily.
Requirement/Information Gathering:
This is the
first phase in which we gather all the information from the
organization we are working with.
Verify and Validate Collected Information:
After
successfully gathering all the information we then move to the next
phase in which we evaluate all the information we have been
provided by the organization.
Document & Report:
After the second phase we then move to preparing a
report in which we mention all the disruptive/ critical or risks we
have found.
Deployment/Presenting:
After that our BIA is completed now we have to submit
or present the results to the management.
Other marketing team might be involved or any outside party can be
involved if the organization insisted otherwise only IT is
involved.
