SIMPLE RANKING

The given scenario is based on the simple Ranking method which is the simplest method of Appraisal under which every employee is compared with the others and ranked from best to worst.

The factor comparison method ranks the roles on a breakdown of factors instead of the role as a whole. Under this method the parts of every job are assigned a financial value for carrying out job evaluation.

The critical incident method of appraisal identifies specific events where the performer did something exceptional or based on something that needs certain amount of improvement. It is based on an event and not assignment of rankings

The forced distribution method of Appraisal is a rating system used to evaluate the workers based on predetermined parameters and rank them into different categories. It creates clear differentiation between the performances of every employee in the organisation based on a normal distribution curve.
