Identify a possible change that could be made to a process or aid used in your workplace. Suggest three ways in which you could identify this particular need.

Answer: The most important change to be made in my workplace should be that the paperwork that is to be done whenever a patient comes must be based upon the seriousness of the case and condition of the patient. If the patient is in critical condition it should be like treatment first then paperwork. One of the caretaker or the person who came along with the patient can be asked to complete all the formalities and paperwork like undertakings, details etc.

Three ways in which I can identify this need is-

1- The critical condition of the patient may become life threatening if not treated instantly and if time is wasted upon paperwork.

2- Some times patient dies before the treatment starts because of paperwork and formalities takes a lot of time before the start of treatment.

3- In case of critical and complicated delivery, chances are there that both the foetus and mother can become critical and this can become life threatening if paperwork is not avoided before the start of treatment.
