Working with Jerks" as discussed in the case in point in chapter 9 from textbook "organizational communication" by Katherine Miller. Jerks are people in an organization which have a habit of arguing and creating problems for employees and clients working in the organization. He has a habit of humiliating and denigrating people leading to loss of confidence and morality while working in an organization. They will never collaborate and appreciate other people's work and will also prevent the transfer of important information to other people working in the organization. The three themes regarding tackling jerks are that 1) they should be screened in the employment panel before offering work to them 2) another person working in the organization should not interact and communicate with jerks as they are careless and do not have regard for the work that they perform in a company profiling 3) unnecessary argument should be avoided with jerks and if someone is not comfortable, then there should be a resignation in that organization. A person feeling uncomfortable should leave the organization based on careless work environment culture. This has been identified by Robert Sutton.
