Explain the Role of the safety professional in all phases of systems designs.
All the phases of system design are as follows:
1. Planning
2. Analysis
3. Design
4. Implementation
5. Maintenance/support
The safety professional’s role is to do inspections to all the stages of system design and to detect hazards that may be harmful to the system design in each step. The inspection should be expected to uncover any of the danger or risks to the different stages of the system.
In the Planning phase of system design, the safety professionals check out the efficiency of the plan and also to inspect weather it covers all the basic requirements for the system design.
In the Analysis phase, the role should be to inspect the feasibility of the planning and requirement analyzed. If any risks found during inspection then the caution can be given to the system designing team.
Design phase is the construction of a rough diagram of flow of system. In this the safety ensures the design is comply with the system requirements. The flow of the design is appropriate or not.
In implementation phase, safety professional inspects the deployment of the system design. They test the implementation phase and by using different methodologies they find out the risks associated to the system design. They inspects the appropriation of the technical and logical links to the systems.
In maintenance and Support phase, the safety professionals inspects the progress of the whole system design and how much the system is efficient.
