Role of Project sponsor:

1. Project sponsor is involved in the Planning phase to give direction to the project and provide resources and funding for the project.
2. They monitor the progress of the project and any budget related issues.
3. They are also involved in the Evaluation phase where they check if the project is up to their mark or not and decides for the next step.

Role of Approval committee:

1. For the planning phase to start for a project, the approval of project request is needed from the approval committee, as they are the decision-making body.

2. They are also involved in the analysis phase for the approval of system proposal.

3. They handle any decision for the project which project manager and champion fails to resolve.

4. They support the project and the program manager by giving any strategic direction.
