Today, in the technology revolution, most appliances are capable of wireless technology. There can be both positive as well as a negative effect of this. We will discuss both pros and cons in detail and then at least conclude that what can be considered the best.

Advantages of using Wireless Information appliances and services in business

1. The main advantage of using wireless appliances over the internet and web is that users can easily get connected with that device and can move freely within the area and use those devices.

2. users can easily share data and files in the network with help of wireless web even with their handheld devices such as mobile and tablets.

3 As wires are not laid in a wireless network which looks decent as well saves time which is wasted in laying wires and cutting walls to set them and also costs less by saving the cost of wires.

4. If wireless appliances are used in businesses like cafes or restaurants, it attracts more customers which causes extra business because being convenient wireless networks are loved by customers.

5. Wireless and Web can sometimes handle a large number of users because it is not fixed with a specific number of ports from which users can be connected.

6. Maintenance of Wireless appliances is quite easy and also costs less as compared to wired appliances which can be considered in business.

Disadvantages of using Wireless Information appliances and services in business

1. Wireless networks and appliances cost extra because they use various costly devices like routers etc which increases the cost of the network.

2. Speed of sharing data and files in wireless and web is slow as compared to wired appliances which can cause delays in business data transfer.

3. Generally speed of wireless networks and appliances gets decreased as the number of users increases whereas in wired appliances the speed is uniform for all users.

4. Wireless network signals are obstructed by walls, ceilings, and furniture present in the business units.

5. Wireless appliances and Web is less secure than wired because it can easily be hacked. Therefore business data can be impacted. Security is a big point which is considered by business and industries.

We have seen both pros and cons of using wireless appliances over the Internet and web and we can conclude that Wireless Appliances are only to be used in business because they have more advantages than disadvantages. The only biggest disadvantage of wireless appliances in Security can be corrected by using various security measures such as Firewalls and Antivirus or using tools such as Network Monitoring Tools which will keep eye on all the data in the network and can save from any attack.

Wireless appliances provide many features to the employee so this should only be used in the business model.
