In your own words describe what your thoughts are on culture and mate selection
The process in which mate preferences in one sex result in differences in fitness for phenotypes of the opposite sex is called sexual selection. The sexual selection also influenced the human evolution. As per the Darwin’s hypothesis, the human evolution of human brain (human intelligence) is a result of sexual selection. The differences in the appearance of humans of different geographical regions, inheritance of hairlessness and bears are also being considered as the consequences of sexual selection. The inheritance of humour, visual arts, creativity, music etc. are all relegated to sexual selection, these traits are preserved though they are not essentially related to survival because of sexual selection. As females choose the multi-talent men or the men with more intelligence. Irrespective of the cultural background, intelligence and beauty are the primary factors that determine mate selection. However, people of the similar or same cultural background are more likely to mate rather than with the individual from a different culture.
