The role of system thinking in organizational change: -

1. The real purpose of Thinking Systems is to understand and integrate yourself into the overall system. This is the way to keep the contradictions between the current flow of the system.

2. A system view often makes the planning process much clearer and more orderly for planners.

3. An advantage for designers who have a view of the system is that they have a stronger knowledge of the primary parts of the project, their product or service and how it should be harmonized to achieve the desired goals more effectively.

Principles of system thinking:

1. The whole system is a system that gives a picture of the complete organization in relation to the environment. It provides a way to understand, analyze and talk about the design and construction of the organization, as an integrated, complex set of many interconnected systems that need to work together to make the whole function successful.

2. The perspective of the open system is more general and more realistic.

3. The boundaries of an entire system can be chosen and defined at a level appropriate to that particular purpose.

4. Success for the complete system requires a performance management system. Features may include setting group or team goals, development, incentives, communication, reviews, rewards, accountability.

5. Factors in systemic failure may include confused goals, poor understanding of the system, creation of flaws, individual goals that are subject to belief in submission, feedback, and so on.
