Discuss other systems and their artifacts we might find. This class revolves around a traditional computer. What other devices could we forensically image that may contribute data or forensic information that may be located in our homes? Are there privacy concerns? Anyone hear of an Amazon Echo?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Here is the list of devices which may or may not be present in one's home and it could collect data:

  • Amazon Echo: A product created by amazon which is a virtual assistant. It is capable of voice interaction, listening to the music you want, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, booking cabs and much more. It gets better and better as it keeps the track of your information provided by you during interactions. For music it'll use the songs which is on amazon music.
  • Google home: A product created by google which is a virtual assistant. It is capable of voice interaction, listening to the music you want, setting alarms, streaming podcasts, booking cabs and much more. It gets better and better as it keeps the track of your information provided by you during interactions. For music it'll use youtube.
  • Mobile devices: If you have android, then there is google assistant in it which helps you in automating most of the work, it sends the data to google and then you get recommendations of various posts(while in google app) and sometimes ads from google. If you are an Iphone/IOS user then there is SIRI for you and it helps you a lot (really alot) in automating stuff and making your life easy. It also takes your data for better recommendation and making your life easy.

So these are the devices which are located in our homes.

As for the privacy concern, there is little to no privacy these days, the devices around us are made to provide us better experience in our daily life and to get better recommendation and smoother life, it requires to know our likings and dislikings, which leads to giving us zero or less privacy. So the answer should- yes definitely there are privacy concerns with all the devices around us.

Thank you.

In our first class we discussed integration between the body systems. In your own words, discuss each of the body systems and give examples of how the systems are integrated with each other. Please do not just say blood flows through each system, but expand on how a homeostatic imbalance in one system affects another. Again, use examples. Explain how they work together to achieve homeostasis. Use physiology terms learned this semester.
