Are The Broken Window Theory and Incrementalism similar or different? How?
Yes, the Broken Window Theory and Incrementalism are similar. You can as me how it is similar let me explain with you a situation. First, we go for an Incrementalism example, a boy going for a shop to buy a bread packet, the bread packet cost rupees 30 rupees and he is giving 50 rupees to the shop owner now he has to get 20 rupees balance from the shop owner, but shop owner mistakenly thinks he has given 100 rupees and returning him balance of 70rupees. In this situation that boy has to tell the truth and return the amount to the shop owner but he didn't do that. He took that money and gone home. This incident indicates how we unconsciously lower our ethical standards over time through small changes in behavior and making a profit out of it by CHEATING THE SHOP OWNER. Now we example for Broken Window Theory, A boy went to buy a gold chain in a big jewelry shop and there is an earthquake in the city where the jewelry shop is located. People are using this chance and running out of the jewelry shop with the gold and ornaments which they had in their hands. By seeing that that boy also ran out with a gold ornament to make a profit out of this situation by CHEATING THE SHOP OWNER AND WORKERS OVER THERE. In both The Broken Window Theory and Incrementalism, CHEATING IS THE SIMILAR TERM USED TO cheat or to do mischief. By this, we can come to the conclusion that both are similar.
