Rhetoric may be a communications originally developed by
Aristotle as a way of challenging variety of prevailing assumptions
about what constitutes a effective presentation.

Rhetorical Communication
• Rhetorical : the communicator gives thought to the

Ideals of Rhetorical theory
Rhetorical theory has to do with relationships--how
they are shaped--typically between organizations andindividuals.
Sometimes these relationships are
constructive, based on fact, trust, and cooperation.
Sometimes they are destructive, resulting in a clash
of base interests and narrow perspectives.
