Every new parent is striven to become the best in their relationship with offspring. There are few qualities which are considered important in terms of becoming a good parent or guardian

A good parent should be a provider of nurturance and care. When a child is born - the foremost need is about the provision of best amenities. A good place to sleep, good nutrition, and physical comfort. For instance, Parents make sure that the child receives good quality milk, a mother's physical comfort, a noise-free environment, etc.

Authoritative parenting style. Many psychologist have stated that the authoritative parenting style is one the best. It brings a balance between nurturance and strictness. Parents give a balanced environment of autonomy and control. For instance, children would be allowed to play or do chores of their interest and on the other hand, they have to fulfill the needs of parents like being good at academics, good behavior, etc

A playful and joyous attitude. Children love their parents when they have a positive and joyous attitude. Parents with a good sense of humor are also widely appreciated as it brings good vibes in the children. This helps in combating various life stress. For instance, Father shares jokes with daughters to make them laugh, the mother plays with sons, etc

Cater to emotional needs. It is required that parents identify the strengths and limits of children. When they are vulnerable then emotional support should be provided. Emotional support helps in improving self-efficacy, confidence, and self-esteem. For instance, the mother helps daughter understand her mood swings occurring due to periods.

Be good models, guiders, and counselors. There would be many occasions where the child might feel stuck or be in conflict.
