Windows 7 is a computer operating system released by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. It was released to manufacturing on July 22, 2009 and became generally available on October 22, 2009, less than three years after the release of its predecessor, Windows Vista.

Windows 8 is a computer operating system that was released by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. The operating system was released to manufacturing on August 1, 2012, with general availability on October 26, 2012.

Mac OS is a computer operating system for Apple Computer's Macintosh line of personal computers and workstations. OS X has a modular design intended to make it easier to add new features to the operating system in the future. It is built on top of Unix.

Linux is the best-known and most-used open source operating system, which is rolled out in a lot of operating systems like Ubuntu, CentOS, Kali linux, etc.

NX-OS is a network operating system for the Nexus-series Ethernet switches and MDS-series Fibre Channel storage area network switches made by Cisco Systems. It evolved from the Cisco operating system SAN-OS, originally developed for its MDS switches.
