1.Multiculturalism is a term which describes a situation in which all the different cultures or racial groups in a society have equal rights and opportunity and none is ignored and regarded as unimportant.
2.The benefits or advantages if multiculturalism competency are manifold. Multiculturalism competency celebrates the contributions of each culture, encourages the positive outcomes of the interaction with many cultures and supports the sharing of powers among people from different cultures.
3.Multiculturalism becomes problematic when cultural differences clash with principles considered fundamental to liberal democracies .Acceptability is one of the important challenges that a multicultural society face. Further, it has been observed that there is an apprehension of losing national identity in a multiculturalism society.
4.The proposed benefits of addressing the challenges of multiculturalism society may be the encouragement of innovation, creativity and prosperity.Cultural fabrics of the society will also enriched.
