Compare two leaders you are familiar with, one who managed emotion well and one who did not manage emotion well. Provide specific examples to support your stance on the emotional management of these leaders. How did their emotional management affect the organization?
An emotionally intelligent leader is the one who; strives to listen, understands and find out what is behind behaviors and actions. They are aware of their own emotions, adept at understanding the emotional state of others and are available for those reporting to them. Jeff Bezos, Ursula Burns, and Elon Musk provide shining examples of leaders in their organizations who were emotionally intelligent. An example of a leader who was not emotionally intelligent is the case of; Hitler of Nazi Germany. An emotionally intelligent leader is able to convince his followers being at a national level or at the level of an organization for a long time and his popularity does not phase out. It leads to the growth of the nation or organization he serves rather than a temporary impact. The decisions made by an emotionally intelligent leader go a long way and they lead to stability, growth, and progress.
