Downsizing is a reduction in organizatonal size and operating costs implemented by management inorder to improve organizational efficiency,productivity and competitiveness of the organization.The effect of downsizing is that some employees lose their jobs involuntarily

Example:

A company may pursue downsizing inorder to weed out employees with obselete skills which may not be useful for company's future growth.HP cutoff jobs for 4000 employees in 2019 to drive down costs for international bank.Most of the job cuts were high paying,executive level positions

Use of ombudsperson:

Ombudsperson is a person who acts as a neutral alternative.Their duty is to investigate compliants and resolve them usually through recommendations or mediation.

Example:

A person who works for the government and investigats citizen complaints made about the government.

A person who works for the company and investigates customer complaints

Use of alternative dispute resolution:

The use of Alternative Dispute Resolution is to Settle disputes by any means at the earliest opportunity.It includes neutral evaluation,negotiation,mediaton or arbitration
