Discuss the psychological consequences of language use and provide an example.
Language is important as it leads to interaction and communication between people belonging to different race, ethnic background and communities. It is used for understanding meaning in the form of some common known word for a complex word as defined in languag scriptures. It was studied by Wittgenstein. Structural semantics is used for studying and analyzing the perspectives used in formation of different words in different languages. Language is an essential component of feelings and emotions in life. It is proved in conceptual act theory(CAT). It helps in understanding the needs, feelings and desire of a person in society. It leads to the development of sensory information which can be analyzed and percepted in the form of emotions and feelings. There are various visual feature detectors for analyzing the sample stimulus with indication of signs facing right or left or the orientation movement of signs in a plane. An example includes the conduction of experiment in University of california, Berkely where experiments were conducted which placed letter 5 or 2 and rotated them at 90o degree in a plane. The cur groups were decided on the basis on fixation cross. Oddball was recognized in a cue. Lupyan and Spivey method was used for analying the verbal labels and pattern of formation in an array. Linguistic and abstract bias was created during conduction of these experiments on students in university of california. A book called as "Language as a social action" is written by Thomas Holtgraves. He describes language as a multidisciplinary perspective. It is used for criticizing and communicating with people and does not hold only an abstract perspective. It is an interpersonal action, context depend action, coordinated language and language as a thought provoking action with interaction among people in society.Chomsky defines the use of an precision speaker without any context and clearance of words while giving speeches in society. Language defines intention with defining of a theory by JL Austin in Oxford in 1950, which explains that clarification explains many unknown processes in development of linguistics and helps in understanding problems related to this field. Languages are useful in arranging and defining social activities and social organization of functions. There is a politeness theory developed by Holtgraves. It analyzes the patterns of communication in various languages. There is another theory called as accomodation theory, language styles or registers which define interaction and communication with people and how linguistics influences perception of people in society. Whorf-Sapir hypothesis recognizes role of cognition, interpretation in development of reasoning and pragmatics of conversation. Speech act theory involves the analysis of languages used in speeches from people belonging to different communities and races. Attribution theory relates to the explaination of causes of specific formation of linguistics in different people in society. Use of words like verbs are analyzed in different sentences in this theory.
