Alan is a trained and licensed plumber. He carelessly installed a steam heater in Bob’s restaurant, and, as a result, Bob was seriously burned when a heater pipe exploded. Claire is a qualified medical doctor who treated Bob at the hospital. She prescribed an incorrect medication as treatment for the burn, which made Bob’s injury worse. Bob had to undergo an expensive and painful skin graft operation to correct his condition.

Ans a) Alan being a trained and licensed plumber has shown unproffessionalism and has done his job with substandard quality, He has not seen through, what could be the reprecussions of his of underquality job. Bob suffered burn injuries when the heater pipe exploded, so due to negligence Bob had to suffer and hence Bob will be reponsible for the medical bills for the treatment of burns and will also be responsible to pay for the problems caused to Bob & his family due to this freak accident.

Ans b) Claire being a qulified medical doctor has failed to do right diagnosis and has ended up prescribing wrong medication leading to further worsening of condition of Bob, She will be responsible for all the excess process that Bob has to undergo and will also be responsible to pay hefty sum because of the mental and emotional problem caused to bob & his family, this is because for no mistake of his,Bob is suffering so much and has to undergo skin grafting and due to this bob may suffer further as he will be leading his life with this medical condition.
