While studying about the ocular conditions like astigmatism, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, optic neuritis, posterior vitreous detachment, and retinitis pigmentosa simulation glasses and goggles can be used. They will improve the understanding of the learner about the problem with mimicking of the real-life scenario.

1. Tunnel Vision: in tunnel vision, the visual field narrowing occurs in case of glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa. To learn about what the simulation glasses or goggles, when worn, people will not be able to use their peripheral vision. They will only be able to see objects in the central region of the visual field.

2. Scotomas: occurs when damage to a particular area of the retina hinders the transmission of information from only that area of the visual field. The diseases that can cause scotomas are macular degeneration, optic neuritis, diabetic retinopathy. People may experience a dark spot or area in the visual field, corresponds location of the damaged retina.Glasses or goggles with blind spots are used to simulate the effects.

3. Blurred vision: It is mainly caused by cataracts and astigmatism. The glasses/ goggles with blurred effect can be used in the simulation.

4. Floaters: mainly occurs as apart from aging. The sudden occurrence of increased floaters are symptoms of vitreous detachment.

A student performs an experiment in which a computer is used to simulate drawing a random sample of size p from a larger population. The proportion of the population with the characteristics of interest to the student is p. Let the random variable P represent the sample proportion observed in the experiment. If p=1/5, find the smallest integer value of the sample size such that the standard deviation of P is less than or equal to 0.01 Done, answer n>=1600....

This week you were introduced to the three (3) conditions that must be in place in order to show performance management. Analyze the use of these tools using your workplace as an example. In addition, expand upon how the three conditions are applied and how they may be used for workplace improvement.

Environmental testing is an attempt to test a component under conditions that closely simulate the environment in which the component will be used. An electrical component is to be used in two different locations in Alaska. Before environmental testing can be conducted, it is necessary to determine the soil composition in these localities. These data are obtained on the percentage of SiO2 by weight of the soil: Anchorage: n1 = 10, x1 = 63.94, s1 = 3; Kodiak: n2 =...

in an experiment on learning 70 rats were taught to navigate a maze during a 3 week training period. half the rats (n=35) were randomly selected to receive cocaine injections for a week while the other half received sodium placebos. after the drug treatment the rats were then tested in the maze and their response times were recorded. for rats who received cocaine the sample mean was 16.83 seconds and ss= 903.04 for the rats who received the placebo the...

LAB: The purpose of this experiment is to study the conditions that must be satisfied for a rigid object to be in static equilibrium. This is done by computing the total torque acting on a meter stick by means of weights suspended at specific locations on the ruler. Consider the radioactivity experiment, where you will use dice to simulate radioactive decay. Show your analysis where applicable. You must include appropriate explanation and analysis to gain full marks. What is the probability of a decay event occurring on a particular throw of a 6-sided dice? Explain. Note that the probability of decay is called the decay constant (defined by the Greek symbol lambda, l; which is lower case l). [6 marks] Estimate the half-life of the dice experiment. [6...
