-Discuss how physical findings are congruent or incongruent with your existing spiritual or cultural beliefs on self-regulation and behavior. Don’t approach the physical findings as analogies or metaphors for spiritual processes, but discuss how physiological processes impact our ability to choose behaviors.
-How can you integrate this new information into your spiritual understanding?
Physical findings are indeed congruent wit my current held spiritual or cultural belief systems on various philosophical themes. This is so because the belief systems are held upon the foundation which is evidence based. The various sources of information including the books that were read by me are all well documented and have scientific evidence behind the values held and how those findings were indeed accumulated by the various writers. Therefore as a consequence, my behaviour and self-regulation is dependent upon how these knowledge or anecdotes play a role in shaping my overall being per se. Physiological processes too impact how we engage in different kinds of behaviour. This is because the way our sensation or other bodily processes occur impacts the manner in which that sensation is then perceived by the brain. This means that mind and body have a very direct link as suggested by many pioneer psychologists as well. This understanding can be integrated in one’s personal journey towards spiritual elevation since the manner in which our body functions impacts the mind and therefore the soul. Thoughts carry an energy which must be pure and positive. These thoughts are impacted by the way one feels from within and the level of activity one’s body possesses. For instance, a person who feels lazy and tired most of the time is less likely to think positive and healthy thoughts as per research. Thus it is important to ensure one’s physiological well-being.
