Interview a friend or family member about a recent holiday or celebration. Limit yourself to 10 questions that you write in advance, and don’t deviate from them. Record the answers. Then interview another friend or family member about the same holiday or celebration. Ask the first question from your list, then let the answers dictate the rest of the questions. Record the answers. Explain which interview gave you more information and which told you more about the event.
I interviewed two friends, Mrs. Mary who is a mother and Mr. John who is a father. The questions are answers are as follows:
10 questions are as follows:
1. What is celebration in your understanding?
2. What did you celebrated recently?
3. Reason behind the celebration?
4. Venue and timings of the celebration?
5. Did you enjoy the celebration?
6. What all efforts to make this celebration a success?
7. Who all did you invited in this celebration? And whom you did not invited?
8. What did you wear on the day of celebration?
9. Did you performance on the celebration?
10. How was the reaction of the people present in the celebration?
Person 1:
Answers are as follows:
1. Celebration means living the important moments of life with your loved ones.
2. I celebrated my daughter’s birthday.
3. My daughter wanted her 10th birthday to be special, as she thinks she has grown up.
4. I celebrated her birthday in McDonald’s in the evening time on 1st of this month
5. Yes, I really enjoyed with kids around me.
6. I selected the place for celebration and checked it to be within my budget,
7. I invited all he school friends and not our relatives.
8. I wore my yellow dress which my daughter likes.
9. Yes I danced for my daughter on her favorite song to make her feel special.
10. All the kids were happy and playing games in McDonald’s.
Person 2:
Answers are as follows:
1. Celebration means eating good food.
2. My last celebration was on Christmas Eve and no recent celebration I had.
3. Festival was the reason behind the celebration.
4. I celebrated it inside my house in the evening.
5. Yes, I was happy and relaxed.
6. I prepared chicken for my family and a nice cake with my wife.
7. I did not invite anyone in this celebration, it was just a family celebration.
8. I wore my old black suit.
9. Yes, I played guitar to make my kids happy.
10. My kids and family was very happy as expected.
Comparison and Conclusion:
The first interview gave me more information and told me more about the recent celebration in her life, as while explaining her answers she was more excited and happy showing her happiness towards her daughter’s birthday being a mother and all the efforts she has put to make that celebration a memory.
She also explained me about the restaurant she chose and why she chose it, The dress she wore was her daughter’s favorite which shows her love and care, towards her daughter. She also explained how she danced and how they celebrated the birthday with her daughter’s friends and kid’s participation in games which explains her deep involvement in the celebration.
So, i feel Mrs. Mary interview gave me more information about her celebration.
