The USA PATRIOT ACT, This ten letter abbreviation when expanded titles as " Uniting and strengthing America by providing Appropriate Tools Required To Intercept And Obstruct Terrorism Act 2001. This was signed into Law by The US President George W Bush on October 2001.It was enacted in response to the attacks of Sept 11, 2001 & became lawless after those attack

This act is still in enforce, but many points remain in its place , but some are controversial.The advantages of the patriot act:

1) Strengthens National Security. Many suspected terrorists were interogated . convictions were recorded , policies were framed & stricter regulations were introduced, surveillance processes were streamedlined making it difficult for the terrorism to succeed. this policy brought back the security to the US citizens.

2) Easy Terrorist identification : FBI was given a free hand to act & tap the phones of the suspected people .By the strict act & policy the govt & the agencies made it easier to intercept & send the suspected people for intoragation & also provide justice to suspect..So their was abig improvement in the communications within the govt &the agencies , acting accordingly to the issues related to terrorism.

3) Victim support : one of the provisions of the act was the opportunity to the relatives or grand parents, or mother or father was not a victim. special immigrant statusn was provided to care of the children orphaned of terrorism. Aid were provided to the affected families & the survivors, much attention was given on them. Even the business owners who had their establishments in WTC were provided with financial support to rebuild their structures & materials.

4) Updated & amendeted Law on Technology & Threats :These Law allowed the legal computer HACKERS for law enforcement assistance to track down hackers,they gave equal status to them of physical trespassers & the digital trespassers,The law enforces the surveillance from any part of the city or disrtict.

The breadth & complexcity : the govt had asked the govt officals to fight the funding of terrorism & money laundring activities .Fedral law made it mandatory to financial institutions & banking sectors to obtain verification & record information of the persons who open accounts & also be vigilant for the transaction made by the persons. even the authorties started verifying even the driving licences too & the the other documents.

As my opinion the govt had taken mesurable steps so that NO such activity takes place further & is now aware , to take appropriate movements ,make suitable laws & also protect each &every person from this happening.

U.S declared the WAR ON TERROR after 11September2001 , theUS commandos tracked down Osama Bin Laden & killed him. but the war conducted led many thoughts the concerns of the impact on liberties,the cost of additional securities employed , implication of invasion, &wars in Iraq & other supporting terrorist countries.
