QUE. Explain the following statement: It goes without saying then, that the human organism (body) and even more, the self cannot be adequately understood apart from the particular social context in which they were shaped.
As Sir Francis Drake is reputed to have said: I have brought you to the storehouse of the world; blame yourself if you go away empty handed.

Answer-1- The human organism develops biologically and has a relationship with its environment. It means that the human being does not only relate to the natural environment but interrelates with a particular culture and society. The relationship with the environment is also considered as the period in which the human self is formed. The formation of self is connected with the organismic development and the social process in which the human and natural environment are mediated.The social processes that regulate the completion of the organism produce the self in a culturally relative pattern. The concept of self is not only the disposition, the human being identifies as himself but also a psychological equipment that produces particular emotions, attitudes and somatic reactions. So, we can say that the self can not be adequately understood apart from the particular social context in which they were shaped.
