Crime control model is thought to be a preservationist way to deal with the crime that spotlights on shielding society from lawbreakers by managing criminal lead and equity. This model emphasize on punishing the offenders in order to keep the society safe. It is less protactive of individual rights. It focuses on the idea that individual rights should not be given to the criminals untill they are proven safe for the society. Heinous crime like homicide, murder, assault, manslaughter, sexual assault, rape, robbery, endangerment, kidnapping (abduction), extortion, leads to the crime control model.
Community corrections and evidence based correction totally fits into crime control model. In these program the offenders are kept outside the prison. They are being supervised. Some offenders have served some of the time in jail, other jevenile might come directly to the correction community. The main motto is to prepare the offender psychologically, emotionally strong before being realised back into the society. These correction progarms gives full guidance to the offenders to become a better citizen.
In my community 'serving in church' is used as a community correction program. In this program, the person who is on parole must live within the church premises, He/she should keep the church clean, serve in the kitcen etc. In this way not only they are engaging in society emotionally but also finding themselves on spiritual level.
